DPF participates in the 7th Annual Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development – NTV Economic Summit 2023
A team from the Fund led by the Director Communications, Mr. Patrick Ezaga, participated in the deliberations at the 7th Annual Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development – NTV Economic Summit. The event, held under the theme “Harnessing Current and Emerging Opportunities to Consolidate Economic Recovery,” provided a platform for experts to explore strategies for economic revitalization of the Ugandan economy in the post-Covid-19 era. The Fund was among the sponsors of the Summit. The Fund’s participation and sponsorship of the event underscored the Fund’s commitment to contributing to the economic recovery and growth of the country.
The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi (Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury) delivered a compelling keynote address, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors in navigating the current economic landscape. He noted that Government had set up a 200-billion fund to support small business owners to recover from the economic slowdown during the pandemic.
The Fund’s representatives seized the opportunity to network with policymakers, industry leaders and other stakeholders. This networking facilitated the exchange of ideas, best practices, and potential collaborations that could positively impact the economic trajectory especially in the financial literacy sector.
DPF’s active involvement in the summit not only solidified its position as a key player in the economic landscape but also demonstrated its dedication to driving positive change and contributing to the prosperity of the Country.
