Rotary Club of Najjera Honors DPF for Support of St. Francis Primary School Project – March 9, 2026
A team from the Rotary Club of Najjera, led by President Rt. CPA Irene Mwoyogwona, visited the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF) on Monday, March 9, 2026, to officially hand over a certificate of appreciation for the Fund’s support toward the construction and furnishing of a two-classroom block at St. Francis Primary School in Bulindo, Kira Municipality. The project has created a safer learning environment and promises a brighter future for the learners.

Through its responsive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, DPF supported the initiative with a contribution of UGX 5 million in the 2025/2026 financial year.
Rt. CPA Mwoyogwona emphasized that the success of the project would not have been possible without DPF’s support. She noted that the classrooms previously had ant hills and a leaking roof – challenges that are now fully resolved through the support of people of goodwill.

In response, Dr. Julia Clare Olima Oyet (Mrs.), CEO of DPF, expressed the Fund’s pleasure in partnering with the Rotary Club of Najjera on the project. She added that the Fund strategically supports educational interventions as part of its CSR initiatives, particularly those promoting financial literacy as a strategic goal.
Dr. Olima also noted that the Fund is currently developing a curriculum on deposit insurance, intended to educate young people on financial literacy and deposit protection.
“We are happy to support,” Dr. Olima concluded.
