DR. MICHAEL MAYANJA LUGEMWA

Dr. Lugemwa oversees the Finance and Operations Department of the Fund. He is responsible for providing strategic direction in the areas of financial reporting financial management and deposit insurance among others.

Michael has over 12 years’ experience in finance, accounting and auditing in both the private and public sector. He holds a PhD in Accountancy from North-West University (South Africa), a Master of Science Degree in Oil and Gas Accounting with distinction, from Robert Gordon University (United Kingdom) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree with a first class, from Makerere University Kampala (Uganda).

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Uganda, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (USA) and a PECB Certified ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager.
