Deposit Protection Fund participates in the 2025 Kabaka Birthday Run

The Deposit Protection Fund (DPF) proudly participated in the 2025 Kabaka Birthday Run. This event, which celebrates the birthday of His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda, also serves as a platform for raising funds to support various charitable causes in the kingdom. This year, the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF), an essential player in Uganda’s financial landscape, made a financial contribution of UGX 25million to support the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The Kabaka Birthday Run, an annual event celebrating the birthday of the Kabaka of Buganda, attracts thousands of participants from all walks of life. The theme for this year’s run was “Men for good health to save the girl child” and was dedicated towards the fight to end the HIV/AIDS scourge as a public health threat by 2030. The DPF’s contribution underscores its dedication to fostering a healthier and more vibrant community, with emphasis on vulnerable groups like the girl child.
