On February 18, 2022, the Chief Executive Officer of the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF), Mrs. Julia Clare Olima Oyet and a delegation from the Fund was hosted by the Executive Director of Public Procurement & Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA), Mr. Benson Turamye, at his Office on PPDA URF Tower.

Mrs. Oyet shared a brief about DPF and its mandate. Additionally, they discussed a range of issues including the amendments to the PPDA Act and building capacity for the DPF’s nascent Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU) among others.

The DPF was until December 2021 procuring and disposing its supplies and services through the Central Bank and now has a fully constituted and independent procurement and disposal unit to handle all the entity’s procurement needs. The parties committed to build on this collaboration initiated by this visit.
