DPF hosts meeting with Contributing Institutions’ focal persons for the Dipstick Customer Satisfaction Survey 1 – February 14, 2023
The Deposit Protection Fund (DPF) organized a breakfast meeting with Focal Persons who coordinated the first DPF Customer satisfaction dipstick survey within their respective Contributing Institutions. The Fund conducts the online survey semi-annually with Contributing Institutions to ascertain their level of satisfaction with the services offered by the Fund, inform interventions for corrective actions and ultimately to enhance awareness and appreciation of the role of the Fund.
All thirty-three (33) Contributing Institutions are expected to participate in the survey. Of these, sixteen (16) Contributing Institutions were engaged in the first survey. These were; Bank of Africa, Bank of Baroda, Cairo Bank Uganda, Centenary Bank, Dfcu Bank, Diamond Trust Bank, Exim Bank, Finance Trust Bank, I&M Bank, Opportunity Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, United Bank for Africa, Mercantile Credit Bank, Yako Bank, Pride Microfinance and UGAFODE Microfinance. The remaining seventeen (17) Contributing Institutions are undertaking the survey in this half of the financial year.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Balaam Ssempala – the Acting Chief Executive Officer commended the institutions for dedicating time and participating in the survey noting that the results would add value to the strategies of engagement with Contributing Institutions. He also thanked them for their participation in the meeting.
Mr. Patrick Ezaga, Director Communications, shared with participants the results of the survey and on his part, applauded the entities’ responsiveness in the survey.
Mr. Ezaga reminded participants that Section 30 of the Financial Institutions (Deposit Protection Fund) Regulations, 2019 requires all contributing institutions to:
- prominently and permanently display the DPF posters in their banking halls
- have the sentence “Deposit protected by the Deposit Protection Fund” on their websites, official stationery and print advertising.
- mention that its deposits are protected by Deposit Protection Fund in all their radio and TV adverts.
